A bottom-up template grammar can contain the following specifiers:
#l-…A marker for the left-hand side of a production of a source PCFG. The production has nonterminal symbols at the right-hand side.
#r…A marker for the right-hand side of a production of a source PCFG. The production has nonterminal symbols at the right-hand side.
#dAn operator for deferring an input terminal symbol for use in special cases.
The specifiers #l-… and #r… are for use in a bottom-up template grammar only.
The rege-markup-cfg tool adds them to a bottom-up template grammar.
The rege-bottom-up tool converts them to #pn-… specifiers in a top-down template grammar.
